“GOD WILL PAVE THE WAY ONCE YOU TAKE THAT STEP OF FAITH” (Part 2)
Sister Lyn Casaclang was in her first year in Uzbekistan when she was informed that she had to attend a conference in Europe. Going to Europe at that time seemed a bit implausible although she was told that all she had to raise was $300 and everything else would be provided. Before leaving for Europe, she had to secure her visa. She was scheduled to have her interview at the British Embassy. However, because the Israeli Embassy was blown up, due to the terror, all the embassies in Uzbekistan were closed. But we all know that nothing is impossible with God, and He will pave the way once you take that step of faith.
Some of Sis Lyn's missionary friends were already in the UK. Only one couple was left while she was also waiting for her visa interview once the British Embassy opened. In addition, her mission director was already in England. He kept calling her asking where she was. When he found out that Sis Lyn was still in Uzbekistan, he got in touch with the British Embassy. The following day, the embassy opened just for Sis Lyn, so she could be interviewed and amazingly her visa was approved! Hallelujah! With everything that was going on, she never thought she could get a visa let alone be approved but it was God’s miracle that she was able to get one and she was able to go to England.
Sis Lyn arrived in England with limited funds therefore, the mission director told her that she had to go back to the Philippines to raise some financial support because she didn’t even reach the standard amount of financial support. She was saddened by the thought of going back home after the conference because she lacked the finances to continue her mission in Uzbekistan. “What should I do Lord? I have already started this. Is this the end? “she inquired.
Every morning, she was asked by the mission director how she was, but she couldn’t say she was fine. All she could think of was the mission director telling her to go home because of a lack of funding. Then on the last day of the conference, the coordinator of the conference spoke with her, “Don’t worry about the conference. We’ve got it all covered, and I have something for you.” Sis Lyn was surprised to hear it. She was given some money that could extend her stay in Uzbekistan. She asked who the generous sponsors were so she could thank them to which the coordinator replied, “They had been thanked”. Sis Lyn was exceedingly glad and praised the Lord greatly that He made a way for her to continue her mission!
She looked for the mission director to share the good news about the blessings she received. She received an amount of money that could let her stay in Uzbekistan for three more months. After the conference, she returned to Uzbekistan with gladness in her heart because once again she experienced God’s miracle and provision. When she arrived in Uzbekistan, not only did she stay for three months but God extended it to three years. Even after she went home to the Philippines, she was still able to return to Uzbekistan again. It was beyond words how the Lord worked in Sis Lyn’s life as she obeyed Him.
She walked by faith when she received God’s calling and God was faithful in keeping His promises to her and He always made a way when there seemed to be no way. Sis Lyn continued to serve the Lord and He has been with her from the moment she took on the call of God and she is serving the Lord happily.
Praise God for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is our solid Rock, our Fortress, our Rescuer, our Shield, and our Salvation’s strength and our place of safety!
1 Chronicles 29:11
“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.”
