PAID IN FULL
In the year 2015, Sister V, who was only twenty-four, was called by God to go to China. With 1,000 pesos in her pocket, she was about to experience how God would multiply what she thought was not enough in her hands. Before leaving the Philippines, she was told that she will have to go on a student visa and she has to pay for it, which is a huge amount, once she enrolls in a Chinese language Center. She was broke at that time but she knew that ‘if it is God’s will then it is God’s bill’ so she obeyed the Lord and went to China by herself. But before she even left the Philippines her faith was tested. She was at the airport and was interrogated by the immigration officer. They probed her with lots of questions for an hour trying to discourage her from going but she kept repeating this verse to herself “If God is for me, then who can be against me?” because she confidently knew that God called her to go. It was already the ‘final call’ for the passengers when finally, the immigration officer decided to let her on the flight. She was out of breath when she sat on her seat on the plane because she had to run. After all, she was the only passenger they were waiting for. With the sense of relief that she was already seated, she couldn’t stop her tears thinking “this is my seat, no one can get me out of this seat now, I am going to China. . . I am going to China” Well, that was just the beginning.
The day came when she had to enroll in one of the Chinese language centers so she could secure a one-year student visa. She was accompanied by her Filipino friend to enroll but both of them didn’t have money. She was anxious and she felt it was a bit absurd but she kept her faith and spoke the truth that she didn’t have the money to pay for the school at that moment. Amazingly, the owner of the school suggested she can pay in installments. It was truly God’s favor!
She believed that God will provide but months have passed and she couldn’t pay for her tuition in full. It was already Christmas and she also hoped she could get to spend the holidays with her family in the Philippines. But she needed to pay her tuition fee first so they would return her passport, but she had no money. She was also suffering from severe back pain and the cold weather added to her pain. One cold evening, after her volunteer work, on her way home, she felt so hopeless and in pain that her heart felt so heavy, and started feeling sorry for herself. She arrived home and as she closed the door of her room, she poured out her heart to the Lord telling Him everything she has been keeping in her heart.
Then, a few minutes later, she felt comforted as she let out all her frustrations. Right after that, she received a text message from her friend inviting her to go out and have fun the next day. Strangely, she felt it was God’s answer to her prayers but also thought “How could it be the answer because there was no indication of me earning money by having fun?” The next day, Sister V met her friend who was with her two visitors from the Philippines. They planned to watch the beauty pageant, Miss World in Sanya City but decided to drop by in Haikou City for unknown reasons. They spent the day together and spoke of almost everything, but she never told the others, let alone people she just met, about her problems. The day ended and they parted ways. The next day, Sister V’s friend called her “Answered prayer! Answered prayer! Come to my house” she excitedly told her. Sister V saw the two ladies she met the day before. Ms. R., one of the ladies, told Sister V, “God told me to help you. Let’s go to your school.” Ms. R paid her tuition fee in full and also got a plane ticket to the Philippines so she can spend Christmas with her family. It was definitely the hand of GOD. He answered Sis V’s prayers. He really is the GOD who provides for all our needs – JEHOVAH JIREH!
Sister V continues to go on missions, with or without money, because she believes in her Father in Heaven who has shown His faithfulness in the days of her youth.
2 Corinthians 9:8 "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
