Those who are joining the conference coming from countries that are required to secure an entry visa to visit Taiwan may request for an official letter of invitation from our office. A set of travel documents, certifications, documentary proof of the conference in Taiwan, etc. will be sent to all conference participants. We advice that each document be printed out or saved on your mobile phone folders to ensure that you have them in your possession at all times. You must have it ready when demanded by the immigration officers and use it as a reference guide on your stay in Taiwan. . Each set of document will be explained during your Pre departure briefings.

E. TRANSLATION SERVICE

We provide translation service to our missionaries or visitors who do not understand the Tagalog language. Translation will be from Tagalog to English only. A wireless headset will be provided per individual. We have assigned interpreters to handle the translation service from beginning to end. There are assigned seats for those who will avail of the translation service.

Our wireless equipment setup can serve only 12 individuals at a time. Please look for Kathy Merencillo or Jerald Sinsay if you know anyone who would be needing this service, please inform them and assist them to the designated staff.

F. CLAIM YOUR BLESSINGS

1. Assorted Blessings / Gifts

Those who participated in our Facebook Faith exercise “BY FAITH, I WILL BE HERE!” are requested to submit screenshots of your posting that shows the number of Likes (including hearts) to claim the gifts. The number of Likes to win start from as small as 100 likes to 1K – 2K. There could be over a hundred winners, so we are requesting the screenshots to be submitted early so we’ll have time to prepare all the gifts.

2. FREE PLANE TICKETS & FREE CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

Last year, 11 IT missionaries were given FREE PLANE TICKETS to SINGAPORE and FREE REGISTRATION to our 5th CUTTING EDGE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE. This year, we are ready to give away 25 FREE ROUND TRIP PLANE TICKETS to TAIWAN and FREE REGISTRATION to our 13th EAST ASIA REGIONAL CONFERENCE.

As of March 13, there were already 10 IT Missionaries who will receive their FREE 2 WAY PLANE TICKETS. There is still over two weeks left to win the remaining 15 tickets and the Free Conference Registration.

This is an incentive program for IT Missionaries involved in missions’ mobilization under our Global Mission Center and Ignite Missions initiative. We also choose IT Missionaries who can passionately and generously contribute their time and resources in helping our organization advance the global missions’ agenda.

All awardees will be recognized during our Taiwan conference and additional tokens of recognition will be handed to each one.

G. TAIPEI TOUR OPTIONS

Information on the tour options after the conference will be provided by our friends from Taiwan at the conference site. Several groups have already made their own arrangements and those who would like to join them must talk to them directly. It is easy to move around to different “go-to places” in the city by just simply understanding what each MRT stations have in store for the Taipei visitors. Each time you go down an MRT station, you are faced with a new set of wonderful surprises. We will be looking only at the MRT RED LINE, and you’ll be surprised at the many things that you could visit and enjoy in the city of Taipei.

The recommended trip options available are as follows : (using the MRT stations as our guide)

Since the Japanese colonial period, Taiwan developed this place already as their leisure and shopping district.

C.K.S. MEMORIAL HALL … This is a Taipei landmark. The images in the Taiwan conference posters that you see regularly in our Facebook is exactly this place. A lot of tourists come to this place. Just like in the Buckingham Palace in London, the changing of the guards from 9am to 5pm is on of the main attractions here.

MRT DONGMEN STATION … Xinyi & Yongkang Intersection, commercial district that has become famous for their xialongbao (steamed dumplings) and the tourists favorite iced mango.

MRT DAAN PARK STATION … Daan Park is Taipei’s largest public park … a perfect place to stroll , relax , pray and observe the Taiwan nationals with their families in tow. One of the main attractions in this area is the MRT main station itself which was adjudged as the most beautiful station in the whole country, You must visit and see for yourself why the station got this distinctive accolade.

XINYI & TONGHUA INTERSECTION … this place is more alive at night. This is where the Linjiang Street Night Market is located. The place provides a paradise of street foods of all types ranging from rice noodle soups, chicken egg cakes, and many popular snack foods as well as desserts.

TAIPEI 101… The main landmark for Taiwan is this101 floors building. A couple of years ago, they have the distinction of being recognized as the tallest building in the world. At present this building is now the 4thtallest. The 89th floor offers a viewing deck that provides an amazing panoramic view of the city. The lower level is an upscale mall with a lot of eating places.

SONGSHOU RD, ENTRANCE … This place is an upscale commercial and entertainment area with shopping, cinemas, dept stores, restaurants and starred hotels everywhere.

MRT TAIPEI CITY HALL STATION … a wide of variety of activities are held in the first-floor grand lobby area of the City Hall. Here you’ll find the Discovery Center that provides each visitor with interactive teachings on the history of Taipei. Each floor of the building follows different themes with four floors to navigate.

MRT SUN YAT-SEN MEMORIAL HALL STATION (Zhongxiao) … here you’ll find another huge park, the Zhongshan Park – 11 hectares of luscious greeneries and Lake Cui, considered as the best spot to view Taipei 101. Artists frequent this place and displays their works here.

HUASHUAN CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES PARK

*** TAIPEI CITY TOUR (MRT BLUE LINE)

– THE AMBASSADOR HOTEL STATION … the must visit here is the Taipei Wenchang Temple. Witness, feel and smell the culture and religion of the people of Taiwan. So many people flock this place to ask for their deities for favors and blessing. The air on the place is rich with the smell of incense. This place can provide a much-valued learning experience for all kingdom workers.

– TATUNG COMPANY … people who alights here typically visit the Tatung Universities beautiful European style garden, a favorite photo shoot area specially for those who are getting married. Another frequented place here is the Shuangcheng street, known for street food dishes that the locals love.

– TAIPEI FINE ARTS MUSEUM … Visitors go to this place for it’s a huge modern art museum. A must visit for those who have the artistic streak in them.

– MRT JIANTAN STATION this is the station to our Conference venue. This place has so many attractions to offer. The list includes Taiwan’s most famous, SHILIN TOURIST NIGHT MARKET, where you’ll find clothing’s, novelty items, eateries, etc .. Inside the market is the Fujian style, Shilin Cixian Temple. Close by is the Jiantanshan Hiking Trail, where you can sit and watch planes taking off and landing. There is also the popular Martyrs Shrine, National Taiwan Science Education Center, Taipei Astronomical Museum, and Taipei Childrens Park … all in the same area.

There are so much more places to visit. All in all, Taipei is a city that has so much to offer for visitors like us. And all it takes is for us to get to know how to move around the city via the MRT. A lot more exciting and beautiful places to visit outside the city will be presented at the conference.

This is it for now! There’s probably one or two more Info Packs to go before we all fly out to Taiwan.

Please pray for the success of our Taiwan conference. Let’s believe that GOD will do something amazing and unforgettable at our conference. Let’s all join hands in our commitment to bring honor and glory to the LORD to all the nations of the world.

May there be nothing but praises and thanksgiving to our Master and King all throughout the conference.
