“Ask for a sign for yourself from the LORD your God; make it deep as Sheol or high as heaven.” - Isaiah 7:11
I am Pastora Apple Matabuena Eugenio, Head Pastor of Quest Laguna church. At Quest, we have a vision for “every nation harvest,” so when International Teams Philippines was introduced to us through Pastor Genesis Olimpo, I knew in my heart that God was telling us to step on it! At Quest we say, “Ang vision, hindi yan binabasa. Tinatapakan yan!” [The vision is not merely read. It is stepped on!] We step on it. We walk into it. With great expectation, we watch God move mightily among, through, and with those who dare to obey without hesitation.
If you feel God stirring your heart for missions, if “every nation harvest” makes your heart ache, this is your invitation: stop hesitating and launch out in faith!
“Tapakan Mo!” is Our Spiritual Posture
Often, Christians treat vision like a poster: inspiring, but stationary.
“Tapakan mo” means to take possession, to literally plant your foot on God’s promise and refuse to back down. That’s radical faith! Missions is not a project. It is a posture of faith that compelled me and Quest Laguna to obey and invited God to act.
With this posture, I led 14 missionaries from Quest Laguna (many first-timers, full-time church workers, and students) to join International Team’s Thailand mission trip in 2025. We all went by faith, with a budget just enough for travel tax at the airport. Financial challenges, along with six hours of interrogation at the Immigration, could have broken us; yet, God’s favor was unstoppable and His miracles just flowed. No one was left behind at the airport. We were all approved, despite the fact that most were first-timers. In Thailand, we were blessed abundantly, and no one ever went hungry. We were even treated to a luxury cruise―all paid for by our generous God!
We returned home with more provisions than when we left and even brought goodies to bring to our loved ones. Hallelujah!
Faith Over Fear: Bold Trust Unlocks Supernatural Provisions
In the same year, our band was invited to lead praise and worship at the Tentmakers Conference in Malaysia.
We faced the same financial pressure but instead of giving in to fear, we trusted God to make a way. He gave us the wisdom and creativity to design and sell hoodies/jackets, as He impressed in our hearts that it would be cold in the conference venue and the participants would need to keep themselves warm.
By the first day, even while the hoodies/jackets were still in our luggage, we sold everything out. Supernatural finances were released!
Resourcefulness coupled with bold trust unlocked extraordinary provisions in extraordinary ways. Believe in our extraordinary God and He will never fail you.
Heaven’s Math: Obedience = Multiplication
When we first joined International Teams, we had three daughter church. But because we took the radical step of obedience, we tapped into God’s promise. We launched new work and last year alone, those steps multiplied into 10 churches, one of them is in Europe!
Stepping out caused local borders to break, limits to fall away, and international harvest came into view.
Our big lesson: If you want to see bigger harvest fields, take bigger steps!
Ask for the Impossible. Don’t Settle for Small.
The Prophet Isaiah invites us to ask for a sign that proves God alone did it. Ask for something so immense that when it happens, you cannot take the credit.
Let us ask for cities to be opened, for nations to be blessed, and for lives to be transformed in ways that only God can orchestrate. Let us ask God to use even our little faith to accomplish big things on His behalf, knowing that God honors bold requests that are rooted in obedience.
Decide today: will you remain stationary, or will you move forward to step on the vision that God has entrusted to you. Ask God for something big. Ask Him for the impossible. Don’t settle for small.
To God be the glory!
